Discover Your Inspired Design

Before your first meeting with NKB, think about what you would like your new room to look like. Gather together magazine images that have inspired you, sketches you have created, and any notes you have written down. Also, measure the dimensions of the room that will be remodeled and take digital photographs of the space.

Schedule your Free Consultation

Bring your collected photos, sketches, and notes during the consultation with your designer. He or she will introduce you to our featured product lines and give you a tour of our 4,000 sq. ft. showroom. Together, you will review your ideas, and materials, beginning to develop the overall feel for the actualization of your project.

Establish your budget

Following your free consultation your design consultant will help determine the appropriate budget (estimate) for your design project. We specialize in kitchen and bath design and remodels, though we have the ability to remodel your entire home. We base our estimates on the results of our consultation with you, as well as estimates of similar past projects.

Designing your new space

Your design consultant will visit your home, measure your space, take photos, and gain a further understanding of the space, surroundings, and your lifestyle. They will then design your space, taking into consideration cabinetry, electrical, plumbing framing and more to produce an accurate proposal (final cost for your project).

Presentation & written scope of work

After visiting your home and designing your space you will be invited back to our showroom for a presentation of your remodel. We will provide design drawings, selected products that harmonize with your new design, and your written scope of work, including preliminary costs. Generally, four meeting are required to refine your project to your exact needs.

Contract signing and deposit

Once you and your design assistant have determined the design, products, and scope of work we will create a final contract. This document will cover all the agreed-upon aspects of for your redesign project. We will then collect your deposit, schedule your product ordering and assign a projected date for installation.

Pre-Construction meeting

Your project manager and designer will meet with you a few weeks prior to the start date of your project. They will discuss the logistics of construction: home access, delivery times, scheduling, etc. During this meeting your project manager will inspect the job-site and will be available to discuss any details of your design project.

Construction Commencement

Based on the complexity & determined scheduling of your remodel project this phase will vary from a few days to a few months. As your project is crafted into reality your project manager and designer will stop by often to view the construction process and confirm that all details are carried out as planned.

Work Completion & Final Review

Your finished look is complete! Job visits will increase to make sure all the little details come together. Finally, your designer will perform a final review of your job site to assure complete satisfaction of your project’s outcome. Get Started Now!
