Brian Raymond – President
As a native to the area and one of SWFL’s leading experts in Interior Architecture, Home Remodeling and Kitchen & Bath Design. Brian has worked in prestigious communities from Sarasota to Marco Island to provide his clients with original, memorable spaces. Function is amply addressed, but so are aesthetics and comfort. Through his projects, Brian adds to the design and functional vocabulary of Kitchens and Baths. His timeless work has been featured in a multitude of publications including Home and Design and Florida Design magazine. He is also the recipient of numerous design awards, including first place in the CBIA Sand Dollar Awards for Best Kitchen and Best Master Bath in a Single Family Home, Best Showroom Design in Collier County and Best Condo Remodel. Brian is also a Certified Building Contractor in the State of Florida. In his spare time Brian enjoys fishing, hiking and watching his daughter play travel volleyball.
Kate Pertzsch – Director of Design
Kate is a seasoned designer, leader, and facilitator with over 28 years of diverse experience in the design industry. Her expertise lies in seamlessly integrating architecture, planning, and aesthetics across all phases of a project, from budget analysis to construction. Kate plays a key role in shaping the firm’s design culture, mentoring teams to achieve design excellence. Her efforts result in a unique design response that synthesizes deeply creative objectives and practical project parameters. In addition to her professional work, Kate is deeply involved in her community. She has volunteered with organizations such as Fun Time Academy, Family Church, and the Onalaska Public Library in her hometown of Onalaska, WI. She has also served on numerous boards, including the Lakefront Festival of Arts at the Milwaukee Art Museum, the La Crosse Symphony, and the IIDA Wisconsin Chapter. Outside of work, Kate enjoys traveling internationally and enjoying cooler weather at her family’s lake house in northern Wisconsin. At home, she and her husband love to cook and entertain.
Barbara Laurent – Design Department Operations Manager
A passion for architecture and design, the renovation of an 1895 Victorian, and constantly helping friends with their homes led Barbara back to school mid-life to pursue and receive a Master of Architecture degree. A Naples resident since 2003, Barbara has renovated countless condominiums and homes, always with one goal in mind, to provide her clients with results beyond their expectations within the budgets and time constraints they have set. She is a true believer that clients are an integral part of the design team, and her knowledge of both the design and construction processes gives her the ability to guide her clients through the renovation experience with great empathy. Her ability to sketch in 3-D while with her clients helps them visualize her ideas. A St. Louis native, she spent 25 years in Boston (go Pats!) and has lived in Sarasota and Knoxville. She was the recipient of the Henry Adams American Institute of Architects Medal, and she is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects
Ken Flaska - Service & Warranty Manager
Ken is a long time Naples Resident with an extensive background in real estate and construction. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in business, he formed a real estate development company that purchased and constructed multi-family residential units. He subsequently became a construction manager for a national construction firm and completed residential, commercial and retail projects in 23 different states including Florida. He is a registered Certified Building Contractor in the State of Florida. Ken’s goal is to insure a prompt and professional response to each service and warranty request. When not addressing service and warranty concerns, He continuously oversees ongoing projects to ensure the highest possible quality of service to Naples Kitchen and Bath clients.
Karen Smith - Finance & Human Resources Director
Karen is originally from Northeast Ohio and brings over two decades of leadership experience to our team. She began her career with McDonald’s Corporation, where she spent 19 years in various leadership roles. Her extensive training and experience allowed her to excel as a People Manager, proctor for management courses, market trainer, and Operations Consultant. Karen also played a pivotal role in supporting corporate human resources within her market, helping to resolve issues across numerous restaurants. In 2008, Karen relocated to Florida, driven by her passion for business and leadership, particularly in people management. Before joining NKB, she served as Director of Operations for a real estate office, where she honed her skills in managing complex operations. At NKB, Karen is responsible for financial management, payroll, and human resources, ensuring the smooth running of the company's internal processes. Her commitment to professional development is evident in her recent academic achievements, having obtained a degree within the last three years to stay current in her field. Karen is known for her approachable leadership style, with an ``open-door`` policy that fosters a supportive environment for both the owners and the entire team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, exploring new places, and embracing new experiences.
Tina Raymond - Showroom Manager
Tina joined the team in February 2023 after a long career in Lifestyle & Communications within Country Clubs in Naples. Her smiling face will greet you in the Showroom and she will be attentive to all of your remodeling needs while assisting our Design Team throughout your entire renovation process. Tina possesses a strong customer service and sales background including roles that required leadership and motivational strength. Her abilities to communicate and multitask are valuable to our team. She will be working diligently with our team to assist as much as possible with all of their projects in effort to help produce results efficiently and to exceed customer expectations. Her bright and cheery personality are her best attributes that our clients and our team will appreciate most. In her spare time, Tina spends most of her time with her lovely children & fur babies, as well as her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, reading, attending bible studies, rollerblading, skiing, boating, and exercise. She is on the Board for a local non-profit organization called Project Outreach and volunteers at church in youth programming.
Steve Smith - Construction Manager
Steve has a wealth of knowledge in construction, having been in the industry for 20+ years. He began his career in upstate New York where he worked for high end commercial builders. Steve had the opportunity to travel and build at a military base in Afghanistan as well. Relocating to Southwest Florida six years ago, he continues to be in the construction sector. He has a passion for the business and strives to keep the construction side of the business organized and efficient. Steve is a very knowledgeable sports fan and played in a men's traveling softball team throughout the country and he’s been inducted to the National softball hall of fame. Steve enjoys golfing and getting out and about in his free time in addition to spending time with his wife and step daughter.
Peter Antanelis - Design Consultant
Peter’s fascination with beauty and aesthetics paved the way for him to work as an Interior Designer. With his eighteen years of experience, he has worked in many facets of the design world including retail, wholesale, manufacturing, project management, and residential & commercial design to name a few. He credits this extensive background and experience for making him the designer he is today. Peter, being a New York Metro Area transplant, also credits his time working in the saturated design/fashion world of Manhattan for his high-end style and taste level. A self-proclaimed epicurean, Peter’s love for luxury and “the finer things in life” comes through in all his projects. He has a keen eye for detail and loves solving interior design problems, making him an outstanding designer. He prides himself on being able to see what others cannot, thinking outside the box and designing beautiful, functional spaces for all his clients. When Peter is not designing his next show stopping project you can find him dining out with friends, enjoying time with his family at the beach. He is also the very proud dog Dad of his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Joey.
Treasa Dolan - Design Consultant
Treasa Dolan looks at her twenty-five years of Interior Design experience as a journey of many rewards, learning and growing each step of the way. She has learned that by listening to her clients, being attentive to their needs, and discovering what excites them ignites the creation of custom design that embraces all of what her clients envision. In addition to her penchant for creating comfortable and alluring spaces, Treasa possesses extensive knowledge and experience in luxury home construction and renovation. As the previous owner of an award-winning St. Louis-based design and construction firm, she is uniquely qualified to guide her clients through the design planning and decision-making process. To ensure that her clients are comfortable and have a thorough understanding of why certain recommendations are made, Treasa educates them throughout the process. She is enjoying her own new home in Naples, with her husband and 12-year-old “puppy”, where their 2 grown children, family and friends frequently visit from the Midwest. Her weekends are spent at the beach, paddleboarding, at the pool, biking and cooking.
Hicel Lagos - Associate Design Consultant
Hicel is very passionate about creating beautiful and functional spaces. She has both a Bachelor in Architecture and Interior Design degree from the university CEDAC in Honduras where she is originally from. She has experience in running her own business for 5 years which focused on construction supervision and detail finishes for commercial to residential spaces. She has a strength in being detail orientated which allows for her to focus on client’s needs and desires. She finds enjoyment in guiding clients and delivering an experience that reflects their personality. After marrying and moving to the US, she has been in the business of interior designing and sales, and also ran an online business of personalized and custom-made products. Hicel joined Nales Kitchen & Bath as a Design Assistant and is very excited to be a part of the NKB family and looks forward to developing her design skills and focusing on kitchen & bath design with space planning and material selections. In her free times she enjoys spending time with her family cooking and doing DIY projects.
Azul Castillo - Design Support
Azul grew up in Naples and graduated from Gulfcoast High School. She received her Associates degree in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her Bachelors degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. Azul is bi-lingual in both English & Spanish and well trained in speaking Portuguese. With a passion for all things art she mostly enjoys creating unique spaces and helping clients accomplish their design visions.
Nathan Raymond- Design Support
Nathan Raymond joined the NKB team in September 2023 and has diligently learned how to use AutoCad and 2020 software to design and develop renovation plans. His current role within the company is design support and he plans to continue developing many skills within this industry. Nathan is a Naples native and graduated from Naples High School in 2020. He spent his summers during high school working at Naples Kitchen & Bath and decided to learn all aspects of the family business. He is passionate about remodeling, construction, and design. In his spare time, he enjoys running, exercising, traveling, spending time with family, and attending church.
Eli McGraw - Assistant Superintendent
Eli has construction in his blood, being the son of a master woodworker and engineer. Growing up in New Orleans, LA, he spent his formative years honing his carpentry skills in his father’s wood shop. After earning his college degree in 2020, Eli fully immersed himself in the construction industry, starting in remodeling where he gained valuable hands-on experience. His keen eye for detail was further sharpened through his passion for woodworking. Eli joined NKB in 2022 as a carpenter and quickly advanced to assistant superintendent under the mentorship of industry veterans Steve Smith and Ken Flaska. Eli is committed to ensuring projects are completed efficiently, with a meticulous focus on quality. Outside of work, Eli enjoys fishing, practicing mixed martial arts, and cooking traditional southern cuisine.
Lisa Ransier - Permitting & Purchasing Coordinator
Lisa's journey began in New Milford, Connecticut, where she grew up immersed in her family's restaurant business, Surfside, located in West Haven. Her love for cooking was sparked there and has remained a lifelong passion. After getting married, Lisa relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she raised her son. She later moved to Naples, Florida, where she discovered a new passion for the construction industry. Her curiosity drives her to constantly learn how all the pieces of a project come together. Lisa’s expertise in permitting and processes is invaluable, ensuring our projects move forward smoothly and efficiently. In addition to her primary role, she also manages purchasing for the company and provides support to the finance department. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new places, and creating memorable experiences. Her greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with her adorable dog, Max.
